Baddesley 2 vs Littleton 2

Date: 7th Oct 07

Venue:
Competition: League

This was an excellent match in which Littleton led twice but were pegged back both times as the points were shared.
The opening exchanges were close with chances few and far between, however as the game opened up both teams went close. Littleton went in front when Pete Southworth chased a long pass and got a toe to the ball before the keeper could get his hands on it to make it 1 – 0 at the break.

HT 0-1
Baddesley started the second half strongly and soon equalised. The game was being played at a high tempo with every ball being keenly contested and following a spell of prolonged pressure, Southworth slammed in his 2nd to restore the lead. It was short lived however as the home side again snatched an equaliser. Both teams went in search of a winner but despite chances at both ends neither side could find the net again.
Littleton’s man of the match was Tom Wickens, who was a constant threat on the wing, and elsewhere Charlie Girdlestone and Alex Carter put in solid performances.
